Job Summary

Position Summary:

TheEHS Manageris responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing thesite's environmental, health, safety, and securityprograms. This role ensures compliance with allapplicable federal, state, and local regulations, whilefostering a culture of workplace safety and environmental responsibility. TheEHS Managercollaborates with leadership and operations teams to drive continuous improvement, minimize risk, and ensure asafe and compliantwork environment.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degreeinOccupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ yearsof experience insafety, occupational health, or environmental engineeringwithin amanufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in acGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice)setting preferred.
  • Hands-on experience withOSHA?s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)and other workplace safety programs.
  • In-depth knowledge ofEHS regulations, includingOSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, and applicablestate and federal laws.
  • Experience withhazard assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance & Management:

  • Ensure compliance withOSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, and other applicablestate and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintainEHS policies, procedures, and training programsto meet regulatory requirements.
  • AdministerEHS vendor contracts, budget, expenses, and inventoryfor safety programs and equipment.
  • Monitorregulatory changesand provide updates to leadership on business impact and compliance strategies.
  • Overseehazardous materials management, includingchemical safety, waste disposal, and environmental reporting.
  • Conductroutine audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsto ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Manageinternal reporting, record-keeping, and documentationfor allEHS incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions.

Workplace Safety & Injury Prevention:

  • Foster and promote a World-Class injury-free safety culturein collaboration with Leadership and Operations.
  • Lead and guide theSafety Committee, ensuring active participation and execution of safety initiatives.
  • Conductjob hazard analyses (JHAs), ergonomics evaluations, and risk assessmentsto identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Analyze and trendsafety observation data, conductingfloor observationsto identify areas for improvement proactively.
  • Presentfindings and recommendationsto leadership, operations, and staff, and oversee the implementation of safety improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance systems totrack worker injuries and ensure corrective actionsare effectively implemented.
  • Investigateaccidents, near-misses, and workplace injuries, conductingroot cause analysesand recommending corrective actions.

Training & Employee Engagement:

  • ConductEHS training programsfor employees, supervisors, and leadership on workplace safety protocols.
  • Facilitatesafety orientationsfor new employees and Safety Committee members.
  • Guideproper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)and safety gear.
  • Deliversafety awareness programsand promote employee participation in safety initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Manage,coach, and mentor staffin behavior-based safety programs and compliance initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally withHR and Operationsto address safety concerns and implement workplace improvements.
  • Act as theprimary point of contactfor allEHS-related mattersat the facility.
  • Ensurecontinuous improvementin EHS practices by benchmarking against industry best practices and applying new strategies.

  • Ability to conduct thorough incident investigationsand root cause analyses.
